Medieval Rome

1 - Jewish Ghetto, Tiber Island, Trastevere.
Walking on the opposite banks of the Tiber, we will savor and taste the atmosphere of times gone by, the most genuine and genuine popular Rome.
Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended.
2 - Basilica of Saint Agnes Outside the Walls, Mausoleum of Constance, Basilica of San Lorenzo al Verano.
Two basilicas with an almost parallel history: both dedicated to a martyr, both from the Constantinian foundation, both rebuilt during the period of Byzantine domination in Rome. They both preserve marvelous Byzantine-style mosaics.
We recommend comfortable shoes and clothing: no shorts and tank top.

3 - Basilica of San Clemente, Basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati and Oratory of San Silvestro.
Visiting the Basilica of San Clemente and its archaeological excavations, we will travel back in time to the imperial era. Instead, the visit to the Basilica of the Santi Quattro Coronati, and especially the Oratory of San Silvestro, will allow us to deepen the medieval events related to the Papacy and the Empire.
 
Cost of admission ticket to the archaeological site of San Clemente: € 10.00 per person.
