Christian Rome
1 - Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican Caves.
The tour will allow us to admire the pontifical collections in the Vatican Museums, as well as Michelangelo's frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, and to discover the centuries-old history of the basilica built on the tomb of the Apostle Peter.
Cost of admission ticket to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel: € 20,00 per person; free for children up to 5 years; reduced (€ 8.00) for children between 6 and 18 years, and for parish groups. We strongly recommend booking at www.museivaticani.va. Cost of booking fees: € 5.00 per person.
Inside the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica you can not access without proper clothing: covered shoulders and legs for both men and women (no tank tops or shorts).
2 - Papal Audience.
The tour takes place exclusively on Wednesdays and includes participation in the General Audience that the Holy Father holds every week in St. Peter's Square. One of our guides will book and collect tickets for you (absolutely free) necessary to attend the Hearing, he will deliver them to you and assist you in arranging for the best possible participation in the Hearing. It is also possible to combine the tour with a visit to the Basilica of San Pietro, or a visit to the Vatican Museums.
3 - Saint Paul's Itinerary.
Visiting the ABBEY OF THE THREE FOUNTAINS, which stands on the site where St. Paul was martyred, and the BASILICA OF ST. PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS, built on his grave, we will have the opportunity to deepen the life and spirituality of the Apostle of the Gentiles, but also to discover the only example of Cistercian architecture present in Rome: the abbey church of the Three Fountains.
Suitable clothing is recommended: no shorts and tank tops.
4 - Roman Basilics.
History, art and faith are mixed in this itinerary that includes a visit to the Cathedral of Rome (SAINT JOHN LATERAN), the Basilica of the Nativity (SAINT MARY MAJOR), and to the church that houses the land of Jerusalem, as well as a series of other precious relics (HOLY CROSS IN JERUSALEM).
